    Interview: Tom Begley, Part Two

Here is the rest of the interview with Tom.

Before I start, I have a few corrections to make. First, Tom’s last name is Begley. Oops. Second, the last organization I did a feature on was Crusade in an interview with Brian Ramsey. I mentioned this in the last segment of the interview but didn’t realize that post was not still up for some reason.

How has your experience been in Intervarsity?
I have been part of Intervarsity since the first week of school my freshman year. It has been a lot of fun and a growing experience. I have become a lot more – I want to say mature – maybe more aware of what is going on in my life. I have met a lot of people, who are now good friends. Plus there is the whole Jesus thing.

    How has leadership been?
It has been different. There is lots of responsibility and it is harder. I feel somewhat responsible for the well-being of the campus now. It is good to see others grow into what they could be as leaders.

What else do you do, besides Bible studies and large group?
We are trying to have more of a missions focus, and do service things this year. We do fun things like board game nights, and we also do a yearly thing called the Amazing Race Denver, which is like the TV show.

Do you have any closing thoughts for the readers?
Intervarsity is awesome. It’s not for everybody, but it might be for you.
