Want to be Featured?
by Tim Weilert on Mar.02, 2009, under Blogs
Are you in a band? Do you work at a record label? Do you know anyone who is either of these two? If so, please leave a comment on this post and we’ll work to get your music featured on “Something Like Sound.” We are interested in doing interviews and album/concert reviews, especially with bands from the Denver / Front Range region. In the past we’ve worked with the likes of the Mile High Music Festival, Warped Tour, BleeMusic Inc., SideCho Records, and tons of local artists..

Hello, My name is Amy and I work for Bleemusic Inc. in Boulder. We manage an up-and-coming two-piece indie rock band from Denver called Young Coyotes. Young Coyotes released two EPs for digital download today, one called “Basement” and one called “Exhale”. “Exhale” is being featured in the “Indie Spotlight” on iTunes this week. The band would love for Something Like Sound to review one or both EPs and the members are also available for interviews. Please let me know if you are interested in any press materials. Thanks and keep rocking!

Oh, pick me! I’m a publicist for a band called These United States, and while the band is from Washington DC and Kentucky, their label (United Interests) is in Boulder and I live in Denver. TUS is on a national tour and won’t be back round these parts till Monolith, but they *do* have an amazing album coming out Sept. 1 called Everything Touches Everything. So email me if you want the good stuff. Nice to meet you, Tim!

We’re Ivory Drive, a Boulder based band. We seem to get more attention on the web than we do in Colorado! We’ve had several #1 and top ten songs on MTV’s OurStage.com, we’ve licensed our music to national TV shows, and have our music videos in film festivals from coast to coast.
But we’d love to get some coverage from “Something Like Sound”! Our web site is http://IvoryDrive.com – please contact us if you’d like to know any more. Thanks!
